On January 21 and 22, 2026, partners of the European Digital Twin on Smart Manufacturing<\/strong><\/a> project gathered in San Sebasti\u00e1n (Spain) for the fifth transnational meeting, hosted by GAIA<\/strong><\/a>. The event served as a key opportunity to assess the current status of the project, align next steps, and reinforce cooperation among educational, technological, and industrial stakeholders from different European countries.<\/p>\n

Hosted at EKINN \u2013 Urban Innovation Hub<\/strong><\/a>, a benchmark space for innovation and entrepreneurship, the meeting helped move forward the project\u2019s mission to foster skills development, training, and formal recognition of competencies in Digital Twin technologies for smart industry.<\/p>\n

Digital Twin on Smart Manufacturing is a European initiative aimed at bridging the gap between education and the real needs of industry, particularly in the field of smart manufacturing. To achieve this, the project focuses on developing training content, assessment tools, and methodologies designed to prepare students, workers, and trainers in key technologies such as digital twins, advanced simulation, and connected industrial environments.<\/p>\n

In this context, the project\u2019s international dimension plays a crucial role. One of the highlights of the event was the series of meetings with technology companies, designed to foster direct interaction between the project and the industrial ecosystem, while strengthening dialogue between innovation, education, and business at an international level. Together with Immersia, we presented our solutions in digital twins, simulation, immersive training, and advanced industrial environments.<\/p>\n
