CIAC (Clúster de la Indústria d’Automoció de Catalunya) has launched a metaverse to allow the remote homologation of containers.

This project has been an initiative of CYP and MOVVO, companies specialised in the improvement of the production and logistics processes of companies, with the collaboration of Innovae, which has been in charge of the technological development of the tool.

The aim of this initiative is to combine the reduction of non-added-value costs with the optimisation of logistics costs through the application of a collaborative space in Virtual Reality, i.e., a metaverse.

There are several phases of container development and production that can be optimised using Virtual Reality. Until recently, all of these validations were carried out using processes such as the creation of mock-ups, moving to different departments, etc.

Corporative metaverse

In order for companies to validate products without leaving their own office, CYP and MOVVO, contacted with Innovae for the creation a metaverse where professionals from different departments make decisions in a collaborative virtual environment in a remote and immersive way. Therefore, logistics costs are reduced and those that do not add value are eliminated, gaining in efficiency and sustainability.

The CIAC presents a metaverse developed by Innovae to improve the efficiency and sustainability of companies in the automotive sector.

To do so, they only need to hold a meeting through the ERAVIS platform using Virtual Reality glasses or a computer. Simple and efficient.

The project has a second phase in which Mixed Reality will be incorporated to validate the real manufacturing prototype with the definitive container at the same manufacturing site.
